Alderholt Chapel Building Project

New Chapel Image

Here at Alderholt Chapel we are undertaking an expansion project of our current facilities. Other than the morning and evening services on Sunday, there are various groups that are run during the week for the commmunity and surrounding area and space is running out fast. We are very privaliged to have our current facilities and thank God for the gifts he has given us in order to carry out his work, and we hope to increase them in order to allow ongoing growth.

The proposal for the new site are as follows :

* To retain the 1923 Chapel, but insert a first floor to create additionall meeting rooms upstairs, with a "Fellowship Hall" downstairs incorporating serving facilities for coffee and snacks.
* Retain the existing lounge.
* Demolish all other existing buildings.
* Build a new main hall to accommodate 200 people for Sunday worship and weekday sports activities.
* Connect the fellowship hall with the new main hall, comprising an entrance foyer, main stairs, toilets, larger kitchen, church office and meeting rooms.
* Layout the site for 30 parking spaces including 3 disabled spaces plus a drop of point, and a bicycle shed, whilst retaining all exisiting hedges, trees and the grassed consecrated graveyard.
