Hi,
We are so glad you have taken an interest in Alderholt Chapel.
We hope that you will take a closer look at us, not because of this website but because we are confident that you will discover answers to some of the big questions of life!
Many people are surprised to learn that the Bible never describes a building as a church.
A church is a gathering of people who know and love Jesus – whether they meet in a cathedral or a barn!
Of course, the advantages of a building are obvious.
It helps us to offer a safe place to encounter God through clubs, events, services or simply having a coffee!
If you have not already, you can come to know God here.
Jesus said, “This is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” John 17:2.
Bruce Springsteen penned the words “everybody has a hungry heart.”
We believe that hunger of the human heart is only satisfied by a living, daily relationship with God through Jesus.
In the end all of our groups and the way we use this building is designed to help you find that answer to your deepest longings and questions.
It may help you to know that you will not be alone in this journey.
You will find real people, with their own struggles and questions too!
We are part of the family of God and we would be delighted to have you join with us.
We aim to be a God centred, Bible based, caring community who are enthusiastic about the opportunity we have to learn more about God and share the good news of Jesus the Saviour with the world.
Our building is used for all kinds of ministries, clubs and events that help in this great aim.
So feel free to pop in to any of our activities or why not join us one Sunday for our main meeting with its mix of contemporary and traditional music, relevant teaching from the Bible and opportunity to meet with others from our community?
You will be very welcome!
Chris Sinkinson,
Senior Pastor
